tary Harold Brown to deter-

order forbidding federal
agencies from applying any re-
ligious restrictions was being
complied with by the military
in Arab lands.
In a follow-up letter, the Con-
gress said it suspects no Jews
are serving in any post to Arab
countries, and the Defense De-
partment should take steps to
correct its practice so the
