Although Bayshore does
practice therapy through
medication, more emphasis
is put on group therapy,
said Mrs. Farris.
Abiding by ground rules
made up by the Diagnostic
and Statistical Manual put
out by thp American
Psychiatric Association,
Bayshore classifies clients
in different-levels describ-
ing the functioning of each
client.
The levels are:
•Superior — unusually ef-
fective in social relations,
occupational functioning
and use of leisure time.
•Very good - better than
average functioning areas
listed above. Five percent
of Bayshore’s clients are in
this category when they are
discharged.
