Confederate Veterans will be held

treasurer's report. After attending

teresting and lively discussion of
the life of "Belle Starr, the Bandit
Queen of Dallas.” Of all women of
the Cleopatra type, since the days
of the Egyptian queen herself, the
universe has produced none more
remarkable than Belle Starr, the
Bandit Queen of Dallas.
Belle was not only well educated,
but gifted with uncommon musical

Thomas Odell Kulbeth
Funeral for Thomas Odell
Kulbeth, 68, of Alto was held at 10
a.m. Wednesday, Apr. l in O. T.
Allen A Son Funeral Home Chapel
with the Rev. M. H. Shubert of-
ficiating.
Burial was at the Old Palestine
Cemetery.
Mr. Kulbeth died Monday night in
a Rusk hospital after a brief illness.
A resident of Alto 23 years, he was
a retired welder, a veteran of World
War II and a member of the Baptist
church.
He is survived by two daughters,
Susan Lovell of Weches, and Rhon-
da Phillips of Pasadena; three
sisters, Ruby Manville, Beulah
Scofield and Mittie Vaughn, all of
Houston; six grandchildren; and a
great-grandchild.
Pallbearers include Morgan
Phillips, Gary Lovell, Jason
Russell, Bill Bice, Billy Cates and
Bill Nelson.

Julie and Edward Holcomb of
Alto announce the arrival of a son,
Zackery Edward, on March 27 at a
Nacogdoches hospital. He weighed
eight pounds and 1IV4 ounces.
