Instead of the dismal howl of the
coyote and the war whoop of tin-

hum of commerce and see tht
waving fields ol golden grain. Cit-

this road, and hope that work will
-tart, as r-r.atoil by Mr. Openshane, in
t hirtv days, t hereby getting t ho money
in action. As a matter ot fact, it is
important that we start right in order
to obviate further delay after the work
begins,
ilii) idea of the court and those in-
terested seems to he to work that por-
tion ot the road which needs it the
worst, and at th" same time conform
to the plans and specification** of the
.Stale Highway Com mission ; in other
words, to put ia bridges, grades and
drainage, etc., in those places most
needed at the present time, and iinish
up afterwards. This was agreed to,
so wo learn, by the former State engi-
neer, and for which, we learn, tlie
court and the chamber of commerce
will contend.
