While on the south side of the

busy little town, and since oar last
visit we ootiodd an top plant bad been
put in and an electria plant' is almost
ready for operation. In short, Strewn
is making rapid strides toward olty
At Mingus we met up with another
busy town. The Wright Mercantile
0o. is flow oocnpying fts new brick
s^ore hftuse, and is doing a fine busi-
ness. White A Ranft, the junction
contractors, completed the building
for the First State Bank the evening,
we were there, bat had bad luck in-
putting in a large plate glass. Mr.
White S'ftid he muoh preferred break-
ing it himself than for any .one else to
have.^ono so, as ba^ would have no
one to blame but himself. These gen-
tlemen are ell right and have given
perfect satisfaction!) in their work.
This town Is destined to make quite
a little olty, as she has some very en-
terprising citizens'.
We also visited Santo and found'
things a little dry in that country, bat
everybody seized to be in good spir-
its, as crops wftre fairly good in that
Section. The merobants of this little
town were all bosy, and J. M. Parch*!
and N. W. Henderson were bney fur-
nishing fresh meat. A building, to be
docupied by thft Christian church for
worship, is under construction. M. M-
Littlefield and. James Owftn were also
improving their property. We vjs-
