be March 7-11. As in the past,
schools throughout the district
will hold open house during this
week. Parents and relatives are
encouraged to visit the school
teachers will explain the overall
purpose of the class and the
parents will be introduced to the

In addition on different nights
each ^school will hod an open
house. High School will have
open house Mon., March 7, from
7 to 9. Teachers and ad-
ministraters will be at the school
to talk to parents and students.
This year a special schedule is
being planned for the open
house. Parents will follow their
student’s schedule through the
class day. They will spend 10
minutes in each class and have
pass periods between classes.
During this ten-minute period,
the Kangaroo Action Team will
have mini-workshop, “Through
Parental Eyes”. During this
time students will learn through
group activities what it is like to
be a parent. The students will be
spirt up into small groups and do
activities to help them ex-
perience what it is like from the
parent’s point of view.
Mrs. Gail Shewmake, the
Personal Involvement faculty
representative, thinks that this
new schedule will encourage
more parents to come to the open
house.
