POPULAR BRIDE-ELECT
HONORED WEDNESDAY
OUT OF TOWN FRIENDS
AND RELATIVES
ATTEND RITES
An attractive party of Wed-
nesday evening, Aug. 18 was
when Mrs. Jerome Kocian en-
tertained at her spacious home
naming Miss Frances Elaine
Wagner, popular bride-elect as
honoree.
Twenty guests responded to
Mrs. Kocian’s invitation and en-
joyed heartily the contests fea-
turing a romance of flowers.
Mrs. 'Alphons Jaks gave a
clever number, “How To Cook
A Husband,” which must 'have
proved embarassing to Miss
Wagner’s fiance Robert Francis
Montalbano who was a guest
and “the only man of the
hour.”
A book of clever and worth-
while recipes was presented to
the honor guest. Game contests
were called with Jimmie Kocian
as master of reremonies. All
prizes awarded throughout the
evening were graciously pre-
sented the bride-elect and quite
an array of plastic kitchen gad-
gets was realized.
Refreshments were served
buffet. The lace covered table
being centered with twin heart-
shaped cakes, inscribed “Fran-
ces,” “Monty.” A queenly bride
in complete bridal array guard-
ed the snow white iced confec-
tions. Lighted tapers in crystal
holders were at either end of
the long table. The same soft
glow was reflected from the
buffet.
Dainty sandwiches, potato
chips, white and dark cake com-
pleted a delectable plate, served
with iced tea. The hostess was
assisted by her twin daughters,
Annette and Janette.
As a pleasing climax to a
delightful evening Mr. Montal-
bano gave a program of imper-
sonations that evidenced his su-
perior talent as an entertainer.
At a late hour all said good
night and wished for . Frances
and Monty all good wishes for
future happiness.

We ask the indulgence of our customers during
our remodeling operations.
The front we are taking down was built 53 years
ago, and time, wind and rain has made a change
necessary.
We hope our building, when finished, will be a
credit to our town and community.
