2.2.2 Public Meetings
Table 2.2 provides a summary of public meetings held during the MIS. All of these meetings
were scheduled to coincide with a project milestone. The May 1998 meetings obtained
information on defining the universe of alternatives to study. The August 1998 meetings
presented the results of the Alternatives Selection phase of the evaluation process. The May
1999 meetings presented the Conceptual Evaluation results and the alternatives to be carried
into the detailed evaluation. The Fall 1999 public meetings presented the Detailed Evaluation
results and summarized the emerging consensus that would be presented to the DART Board
for consideration as the Locally Preferred Investment Strategy (LPIS).

During the course of the MIS process, several meetings were held with the DART Planning
Committee to brief Board members on the progress of the study. Presentations to the DART
Board were made at key decision milestones to approve resolutions. Table 2.3 provides a
summary of the meetings and briefings to the DART Board or its committees, including the
