The Comanche High School
Class of 1955 celebrated their
50* reunion, September 16,
17, and 18*. The occasion
started with a hamburger
supper at the CHS
Homecoming.
Saturday morning, they had
breakfast together at Karen’s
Diner and then met at H.R.
Jefferies Junior High School
for all-day visiting. After
snacks and lunch, many took
tours of the Comanche County
Museum and Brennan’s
Winery.
The “fifties” era was
depicted in decorations and
out-of-town entertainment.
D’Ann Willis of Lampasas
entertained the group with
Hits of the Fifties. Barbecue
Supper with all the trimmings
was enjoyed by 69 classmates
and their families.
A nice surprise by classmate
Jane Cagle Coulter was an
American flag that was flown
over the United States Capitol
May 23, 2005, exactly 50
years to the day the class
graduated.
The class enjoyed surprise
visits from Lilly Galiga
Himmel and her husband Bob,
Jim Carpenter, and Dale
McNutt.
