Mr. Anthony was born Sep-
tember 16,1914, in Comanche,
the son of the late Ernest
Eugene and Jesaie Hamilton
Anthony. He eras married to
Stella Card, December 31,
1938, in Pacos, Tbxaa.
He was a stock holder and
employee of the State National
Bank for 36 years, serving ae
president from 1960 to 1973.
He wae a 60 year member of
the Comanche Evening Lions
Club, a member of the Amer-
ican Legion, and Comanche
VFW Poet #481 for many
years. Mr. Anthony was a
former member of the Ad-
ministration Council of
Bankers Association. He was
a member of the First Bap-
tist Church, serving on the
Board of Trustees from 1977
to 1996, having been Chair-
man of the Board from 1983 to
1996. Mr. Anthony had served
as Chairman and Member of
the Stewardship and Finance
Committee, had served on the
Property and Building Com-
mittee and was Chairman of
the Special Memorials for the
construction of the First Bap-
tist Church.
Mr. Anthony was co-founder
and former vico-president of
the Comanche Industrial Foun-
dation. Mr. Anthony was co-
founder of the Comanche Gar-
dens of Memory Cemetery.
He was past president of
the Comanche Chamber of
Commerce and was Comanche.
Chamber of Commerce Man
cf bar in 1977. Mr. An-
thony was a veteran of the
IL8. Army, involved in Bat-
tles in Normandy, Northern
France, m»in<i«ni< «nri Cen-
tral Europe. He was a recip-
ient of the Campaign Medal
with four Bronze Stars. Mr.
Anthony was an avid sports
fan and dedicated supporter of
Comanche High School athlet-
ics.
Survivors are his wife, Stella
Anthony of Comanche; three
daughters, Kay Fox of Hunt,
Thus; Gail Tbundale of Sugar-
land, Tbzas and Kathy Culpep-
per of Gatesville, Three; two
sisters, Josephine Anthony
Box of Houston and Ellen
A. Norris of Comanche; six
grandchildren and one great-
grandchild.

day at 11:00 a.m. at the

ating. Burial was in Elmwood
Memorial Park.
Mr. Moore wae born in San
Saba where he graduated from
high schooL He attended Thr-
leton State University and
^graduated from Than A&M.

ist with the Soil Conservation
Service working in Snyder,
Breckenridgs, and Comanche
for 31 years before his retire-
ment in 1979.
Mr. Moore married Lillie
Marie Tklley In San Saba in
1941. He lived in Comanche
most of his married life. He
wae a member of the North
6th and Grape Street Church
of Christ and a U.S. Air Force
veteran.
Survivors include his wife,
Lillie Marie Moore of Abi-
lene; one daughter, Carole
Tbwneend of Abilene; one eon,
Philip Moore of G ranbury; two
brothers, Thomas Moore of
Canton and Fred Moore of
Houston; one sister, Connie
Williams of San Saba; and five
grandchildren.

in Harrell Memorial Chapel

Mr. Shillingburg was bom

county he was a retired mail
carrier for the Dublin Poet
Office. He wae a member
of ftrtrick Street Church of
Christ, past president of the
D.I.S.D. school board, presi-
dent of V.F.W., and past scout
master of B.S.A. He served in
the Navy during World War II.
Survivors are his wife. Doro-
thy Shillingburg of Dublin;
one son, Mike Shillingburg
of Spring City, Tfenneesee;
two daughters, Patti Wall of
Stephenville and Rebecca
Stephens of Ponca City, Okla-
homa; three grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren.

He belonged to the First
United Methodist Church in
Lula Maude Evitt, 100, of
Fort Worth died Monday, Mar-
ch 13,1996, in Kents Nursing
Home in Fort Worth.

2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March
16, in the Nowlin Funeral
Home Chapel in De Leon.

terment was in the De Leon
Cemetery.

Mrs. Evitt was born March
18,1896 in De Leon, Tbxae. On
August 18, 1918 she married
Eaton O. Evitt in Lubbock,
Tbxae.
Mrs. Evitt wae s long time
resident of De Leon before
moving to Fort Worth. She
wae s member of the Church
of Christ and a private music
teacher.
Survivors are two sons, Tru-
man Lee Evitt of Fort Worth,
Melton Eaton Evitt of Cor-
pus Chrieti; one brother, John
William Holland of De Leon;
five grandchildren; eleven
great-grandchildren; and two
great-great- grandchildren.
There is a house in Mas-
sachusetts built entirely of
newspaper. It is made of 216
thicknesses of newspaper and
all the furniture is of newspa-
per, too.
