Executive Independent Review Team (EIRT) production A/C 1st flight readiness review at Fort
Worth 25-26 July.
Stores Management Subsystem (SMS) Functional Configuration Audit (FCA)/Physical Configura-
tion Audit (PCA) at Fort Worth 24-28 July.
F-16 Peace Zebra orientation meeting at Fort Worth 31 July - 2 August.
F-16 Avionic Intermediate Shop (AIS) Co-production plan briefing at SPO 1 August.
F-16 No. 9 has completed co-acceptance flights, Nos. 10 & 11 are in Final Assembly/Systems
Operations. Aircraft No. 12 is in Fuselage I&A, with Nos. 13 & 15 in Fuselage Mate. Nos. 14 & 16 are in
Assembly Restoration at Fairey and SABCA.
YF-16 No. 1 is still in storage at Fort Worth. No. 2 flew nine times last week for flight test data
accumulation in several areas.
F-16 Aircraft Nos. 1-8 completed 26 flights last week including tests for gunfiring, weapon separation,
systems calibration and high altitude intercepts.

FIRST PRODUCTION F-16 FLIES
F-16 No. 9, the first production aircraft was successfully flown twice on Monday, 7 August 1978.
Company acceptance was accomplished the same date. The aircraft is now being readied for Air Force
acceptance flight. It is due to be delivered to the Air Force this month and is the first of nearly 2,000 F-16
Multirole Fighters to be produced by General Dynamics and it's co-producers.
DCAS REVIEW
Major General J. A. Abramshon, Deputy for F-16, Aeronautical Systems Division, Air Force Systems
Command (ASD, AFSC) and Brig. Gen. M. W. Baker, Air Force Contract Management Division
(AFCMD), Air Force Systems Command (AFSC), led a contingent of 40 people to Fort Worth on 3-4
August for a Defense Contract Administration Services Review.
PAVE TACK
The PAVE TACK/Guided Weapons System Program Office (SPO) made the decision to proceed with
the production phase of the program. General Dynamics' scheduled go-ahead date is 1 September 1978.
Estimated value of the program is $50M.
F-111 ENSHRINED
The 366TFW, Mountain Home AFB, Idaho received the F-111 static test aircraft from Wright-
Patterson AFB on 5 August. The aircraft will be installed on a concrete pedestal located near the base
front gate.
