On March 25, Hollywood
■Henderson from 93Q came to
Crosby Middle School, to talk to
us about his career. He is a DJ
fSr-KKBQ.
He explained how the radio
station, runs: He told how the
people at the radio station pick
- out the records to play.
There are three people who go
through the thousands of records
that come in each week and find
tfie hits
There are two music con-
sultants and one music director. ,
Hollywood said that he mostly
plays songs that are requested
on the phone and because of the
7 money that they give away is
why J;hey don’t make as much
money as normal stations do.
His job is fun, he said. He gets
to meet famous singers like Bon
Jovi, Bfeastfg Boys, Cyndi
— Lauper. Run DMC, etc.
He makes about $50,000 to
$60,000 a year. "
