The Explorer Scouts of Post
231 is a new branch of the Boy
Scouts in Shiner. As of now we
have 15 members but hope to
get more. To become an Explor-
er Scout a boy must be 14 years
of age or more and also pass a
medical examination, which is
easy. Any boy wanting to join
may come to the V. F. W. home
any Monday at,7:30.
The Explorers are going
camping on Saturday, April 29
at 5:00. We are going to leave
from the V. F. W. Home.
Our guide is Gilbert Kasper
and our assistant guide is Mar-
vin Breithaupt. Our treasurer
is Brian Helweg and secretary
and scribe is Roland Weber. We
intend to elect crew leaders
next Monday.
If you parents don’t want
your son to become a member,
just remember: “Boy Scouts

Boy Scouts No. 232
The Boy Scouts of Troop 232
met Monday night, April 24, at
the Parish Hall. The meeting
opened with a prayer, the usual
procedure followed. The Scout-
master gave the boys the Merit
Badges they had passed. After
this we discussed about our Me-
rit Badge show, which will be
held on Wednesday, May 3. We
held a kangaroo court for all the
boys who misbehaved.
