Brown. A leisurely trip through
the frosty vaults of the plant
should be a real treat to dusty
and tired rodeo visitors, and will
certainly be an educational one.
Since its completion only a' few
weeks ago, the patrons of. the
plant have increased daily as both
city and rural families become ac-
quainted with these modem meth-
ods of preserving almost every
type of food at temperatures so
low no bacteria can exist.

modem plant is the promise of

tuates the striking appearance of
the modem front of Watson Dry
Goods Oo., Levelland’s oldest es-
tablished dry goods'store. The
firm was established here in 1925
by Ray Watson, one of the real
pioneers of Hockley county. Wat-
son also has extensive land and
oil interests throughout this area.

ed every other ambition.
MT. Watson is owner of the
Watson Grocery, having engaged
in the grocery business here sev-
eral years ago. He is an active
member of the local Lion’s club,
and is serving with that club in
sponsoring the big birthday Cele-
bration and Rodeo.

and shows the ’attractive window
as planned and decorated by Man-
ager Raymond Abel of the Wat-
son Dry Goods Co. Every imagin-
able item of wearing apparel or
implements of the cowbcy life is
displayed in the window. Turn a
cowhand loose amid all these
trappin’s and he’d go sparkin' sure
as shootin.’

Harold Clingan, Secretary of the
Hockley County Board of Devel-
opment, was an early day business
man of Levelland. He is a member
pf the Rotary club, an officer of
the American Legion Post, and an
untiring civic worker.
