Mr. Perry Sayles,
Eastland, Texas.
Dear Mr. Sayles:-
Parramore Post No. 57 American Legion, has
recently purchased the Johnson Natatorium located on
Highway No. 1 east of Abilene, which we are going to
operate under and for the American Legion.
We find that some twenty years ago there was
a stock company formed here under the name of the
Sanitary Natatorium Company, which at that time had one
hundred and forty four share holders, one of which was
you. Some years later the Company gave the stock to the
'ity of Abilene for the purpose of building a Natatorium
to be used free by the children, and the same was built
and operated for a few years, but has since been abandoned.
At the time the deal was consumated with the City, there
was a few hundred dollars in cash that was never prorated
to the shareholders and would amount to very little if
prorated among the shareholders. All the records of the
company have been misplaced and there are no officials
of the company at this time, but there are a number of the
old shareholders here who are in sympathy with the American
Legion program at our New Natatorium, and are willing to
give to the American Legion all their interest in the assets
f the old Sanitary Natatorium Company, as set out in the
enclosed contract. The amount owned by each shareholder
s so small it will not hurt anyone financially, but
altogether would be a nice gift to the American Legion,
and for which the Legion would be very thankful. You owned
one share and I am asking you for this share as a gift to
Parramore Post No. 57 American Legion, Abilene.
If you see fit to sign this contract the entire
membership of the American Legion will be very grateful.
i espectfully,
Trustee,
Parramore Post No. 57
