Over the years, Sterling Municipal
Library has been able to enrich its collec-
tion with memorial gifts from the com-
munity. The library staff carefully selects
materials in accordance with the wishes
of the donor and notifies the appropriate
parties. Most memorial books reflect the
interests or personal qualities of the per-
son memorialized with caring library per-
sonnel selecting the appropriate book
from newly published books.
The opportunities to honor someone
with a book are limitless. Anniversaries,
retirement, recognition of an accomplish-
ment, or gratitude for a special service are
all occasions which can be observed by
placing a book in Sterling.
