Fire training — Exxon will conduct fire training from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30
p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Exxon Complex fire training grounds
south of Decker Drive.
Car wash — Robert E. Lee High School Band Boosters will hold a car
tosh at Checker’s restaurant on Garth Road for donations to the organi-
zation.

pickup truck returned to the scene
of the crime, at 6:20 p.m. Thurs-
day, to pay $10 for the gas he had
not paid for earlier, once he
learned that police had been noti-
fied of the theft.
A 22-year-old man was arrested
and charged with driving while
intoxicated at 4 a.m. Friday, after
police found him passed out
behind the wheel of his car.
According to police, the man was
parked in front of the fire depart-
ment, at the intersection of
Carnegie and Market streets. The
transmission of his vehicle was in
drive, and the ignition was run-

CRIME SCENE
During the 24 hours between
Thursday and Friday mornings,
Baytown police responded to 203
complaints, including three
assaults, cnc bomb threat, six aura
thefts, four burglaries, 12 thefts,
two shots fired calls, and seven
cases of vandalism.
Police arrested 14 people, three
for possession of cocaine, one for
sexual assault of a child, two for
attempted theft, four for public
intoxication and driving while
intoxicated, and two for traffic
violations.
Garage sale — Baytown Senior Citizens Center, 1715 Market Street, is
hold a gigantic garage sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 25 and is accepting

According to police, the sus-
pects entered Jose’s Jewelry Cast-
ing and Repairs by smashing in a
window. Once they entered, they
took two drawers full of semi-
precious stones. Damage to the
building is $200. Loss is $8,000.

2213. The museum needs a photograph of the Cedar Bayou Pontoon
Bridge.
Pilot Club — West Chambers County Pilot Club is selling T-shirts for
the second annual Barbers Hill Day throughout the day Saturday. The
cost of the shirts is $8 for children, $10 for adults, $11 for 2x sizes and
$12 for 3x sizes. Proceeds will benefit the club’s community service pro-
