Fire Safety Week is Oct.
9-15. Fire Safety Week is a
perfect time to provide
information about ways to
help keep children safe
from fire.
Since it is impossible to
supervise children 24 hours
a day, safety innovations
can held protect children
from fire related injury or
death.
A new Consumer Product
Safety Commission (CPSC)
standard requires that all
disposable lighters manu-
factured or shipped to the
U.S.A. are child resistant.
So, to help educate con-
sumers about new child
resistant lighters and help
children learn more about
fire safety, Cricket is offer-
ing two brochures free to
readers.
“Questions & Answers
About Child Resistant
Lighters,” and “What’s Safe
and What’s Not With Fire
and Lighters and Things
that Get Hot,” can be
requested by sending a self-
addressed, stamped enve-
lope to: Child Resistant
