Over the past several months, Baytown police have been called to
investigate numerous cases of criminal mischief that have occurred
j$l local car dealerships in Baytown.
* The majority of these crimes have occurred at Baytown Nissan
and Ben Reading Buick which are both located on the Baytown East
’freeway (Interstate 10). ,
> Police say the suspect(s) are breaking out the windows of new and
'used cars that are parked for display on the car lots. Most are com-
mitted during the nighttime or on weekends when the businesses are
tlosed.
> The amount of senseless damage caused by these crimes has
amounted to thousands of dollars in losses.
- Through Aug. 29, Baytown Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000
for information leading to the arrest of anyone responsible for these
jfrimes.
