During the severe weather, some p'atrons
have taken the liberty of shutting the wa-
ter off and turning it oh at the meter with-
out calling the proper parties, and have
thereby damaged some of the meters and
shutoffs.
We would like, any time that your water needs to be Shut Of*
at the meter, that you would call the City Offifce, and they will
see ^that it is turned off or on, and no damage will he done to the,
meter or shutoff.

farmers in 1944 will be discussed
in at Amarillo, Monday, Feb. 14.
The meeting is sponsortd by the
Texas Farm Bureau Federation,
and is one of a series of 15 being
held over the state to consider
problems of paramount import-
ance affecting agriculture.
Among the major problems, and
possible solutions, to be discussed
include adequate machinery, sup-
plies and labor, reasonable floor
prices under all farm and live-
stock products on a year-in and
year-out basis, susidies and roll-
back prices on farm products, par-
ity prices to include increased la-
bor costs, should the farmer have
a voice in setting fair prices foi
his own products, and necessary
legislation 'and appropriations ad-
equate for the successful opera-
tion of Farm Credit, Rural Elec-
trification, AAA, S'oil -Conserva-
