INTER-OFFICEI LETTER FOR MR. I. H. KEMPNER DATE DECEMBER 30, 1955 SUBJECT Clippings 6-52 5M 60099 WRITE ON BUT ONE SUBJECT TO BE USED BY ALL OFFICERSOR DEPARTMENT ON THIS SHEET HEADS FOR INTEROFFICE CORRESPONDENCE Dear Mr. Kempner: Thanks for your letter of December 27, with clippings attached. As requested, I have written the Fantus Factory Locating Service, Chicago, and will let you know just as soon as I have a reply. I have noted with interest the clipping about the proposed residential development between Stafford and Missouri City. I understand that in addition to the residential development, plans are now under way for a large shopping center in that same vicinity. Of course, the location of the WKM Company just inside the Fort Bend County line started the boom in that area, and in addition, as you pointed out in your letter, the organization of Fort Bend County Water Control and Improvement District No. 2 has certainly contributed materially to the tremendous interest in that section. As stated to you in my letter yesterday about the Mischer matter, I feel it is most important that we get going on a sewage disposal plant or plants for Sugar Land if we intend to get our fair share of the development that is now under way in the eastern part of Fort Bend County. Clipping number three certainly states a true fact, and we will arrange to place this in the service station as you suggested. Yours very truly, Th . L. James TLJ:vp
