Antonio during the Christmas
holidays.

were Miss Emily Baros of Tem-
ple, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Nerada
and daughter Nancy of San An-
tonio, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Baros
and son James, and Mr. and
Mrs. Laddie Baros of El Campo,
Mr. and Mrs. Felix Jurica and
daughter Patsy and son Ken-
neth of Hallettsville, and Mr.
and Mrs. Frank Baros and son
Frank of Shiner.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Tieken
and family, Mrs. George Tieken
of Gonzales visited in the W.
Tieken home during the holi-
days. The occasion being Chief
W. Tieken’s birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Theo Juraschek
spent the Christmas holidays in
Moore and San Antonio. They
were accompanied home Thurs-
day by their son, Theo. B. Ju-
raschek and R. A. Bender of St.
Jose, Costa Rica, Central Am-
erica and Ray Blackez of De-
fiance, Ohio. The visitors were
favorably impressed with the
city.
Miss Marthalyn Valenta re-
turned to Austin the first of the
week after a holiday visit with
her parents and other relatives.
William Koch, San Antonio,
H. C. Koch and Mr. and Mrs.
Rutland Koch, Fort Worth, Mr.
and Mrs. Chas. Gebart of Engle
and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Fawcett,
Yoakum, visited in the home of
Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Brieger dur-
ing Christmas.
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Chova-
netz spent Wednesday of last
week with Mrs. J. P. Bartak,
Helen and Paul at the home of
Mrs. Bartak’s sister, Miss Louise
Draper, at 4203, La Branch,
Houston. Marian and Barrie
were unablo to join them as
they are stationed in Durham,
N. C., where both are attending
Duke University. Mr. Malac ex-
pects to get his Master’s Degree
in forestry in another year. He
was a student at Charles Uni-
versity in Prague, Czechoslova-
kia, for several years before his
arrival in Texas a year ago.

Herbert Jr. of Victoria and Mr.
and Mrs. Jack Rowen of San
Antonio were guests during the
holidays of Mr. and Mrs. V. G.
Stindt.
