RAILROAD WRECK.
A Central Train Badly Used up
Yesterday.
'ihe south bound accommodation
train on the Texas Central which left
Morgan at 5:40 yesterday afternoon
and should have reached hero at 0
last night did not arrive until 11:45
this morning. The cause of the delay
was a serious wreck which occurred
at Steele's creek gravel pit about
two miles south of Morgan a few
minutes after the tram pulled out
from the latter place. At the gravel
pit the englno struck a cow and went
into tho ditch carrying with it one
box car and two flats. All were
completely wrecked aud Engineer
Alf Bushy who was at the throttle
jumped and sustained severe and
painful but not serious bruises. His
fireman Ed. Cottrell escaped without
injury. Cottrell Is the same fireman
who was in the cab on that fatal night
when Engineer Moses was killed.
He had Just recovored from injuries
received In that casualty and was
making his third trip when tho accl
dent occurred last night. Tho work
of clearing the wreck took all night
and it was 8 o'clock this morning
when tho train pulled by engine No.
105-in charge of Engineer J Q Maule
started on its way to Waco. Tho de-
molished engino No. 108 was carried
on down the road while Engiueer
Bushy was taken first to Morgan and
altorward to Walnut for medical
treatment.
