“Ever
Dear Friends:
You have been fine and kind to me.
You have just returned me as your Repre-
sentative for the nineteenth time.
In the next session of the Congress I
will rank number five, and two of the four
Members ahead of me are from Texas. I am
the second Texan to ever preside over the
Committeee on Agriculture.
I hope this experience will enable me
to serve our District better than ever before.
I want to justify the confidence you have
shown in me. And to those who felt it in the
best interest of our District to support some-
one else, I want to assure you that I will al-
ways stand ready to help you. I am every-
one’s Representative.

With every good wish,
BOB P0AGE
Congress has been and still is in ses-
sion. I have not been able to devote as much
time to the campaign as I would have liked.
I have had to depend on you, my friends,
and you responded wonderfully.
1 am proud of the fact that we ran an
overwhelming successful race on my own
merits. This is as I would have it, and I know
it is as you want it. For this, I thank you.
It is necessary for me to return to
Washington, but we are always available to
assist in any way we can. We have a fine
staff. Don’t hesitate to call on us. We can't
perform miracles, but we will try.
Let me again say just as simply and
sincerely as I can that no one ever had finer
friends and that no one appreciates their
friends more than I.
