We are writing to express how proud we are of the Lobo Junior Varsity Football
Team.
Each week they have practiced hard with the varsity team to help them get ready
for Friday night. Every Thursday night we watched the JV play against teams
who were larger both in size and numbers. Like the varsity, because of their
numbers most of the JV played both offense and defense through the whole
game while their opponents were sending in fresh players. They never gave up
and every game was close
We watched weekly as the JV improved in ability and talent; they were always
willing to work harder. Every week we saw them come on the field with a “WE
CAN WIN” attitude and they kept that attitude to the very last second of each
game A successful season is not measured only by a win-loss record. These
young men ha ve gained strength, knowledge, ability, a sense of team together-
ness and patience this year. That can only make them better for next year
We want to thank the coaching staff at L.H.S. for teaching them so much about
the sport, but also about how to give respect and get respect in return. The
coaches have never given up on these guys and their pride is evident. The
coaches know how hard the season has been for these players who have
enjoyed winning seasons since beginning as 7th graders. We believe the varsity
team should also be commended for their role as leaders and for making the JV
better We also want to thank the training staff who have supported them and
kept them “pieced together." Coach Speck calls the Jr. Varsity the IRON MEN.
We just say we couldn’t be any prouder!
Sincerely,
PARENTS. FAMILY & FRIENDS
