Bryant is the son of the late
John James Bryant and Esta Mae
Bryant of Paducah, TX. He is the
grandson of former Hockley County
residents John James Bryant and
Nora P. Bryant. He is a graduate of
Quanah High School and attended
Cook County Junior College from
1972-73.
Bryant received the Lord as his
savior in 1965 and surrendered to
the ministry at the Levelland Mis-
sionary Baptist Church (now
Ridgecrest Missionary Baptist
Church) in 1973. He attended the
Texas Baptist Institute and Semi-
nary at Henderson, TX from 1974-
1977. He received a Bachelor of
rheology Degree.
He married Debbie Smith in
1976. They have two children.
He has pastored several
churches in Texas. Presently, he is
pastor at Unity Missionary Baptist
church in Texarkana, TX.
He has served as assistant mod-
erator for the Missionary Baptist
of Texarkana. He was awarded
Who’s Who among Professional
Businessmen.

He is survived by his wife,

world through sign language.
Leading her is her teacher, Annie
Sullivan. Gene Cole, SPC theatre
professor, will direct the
production.
The play will run Thur. Nov.
16 - Sun. Nov. 19. The Thursday,
Frida> and Saturday performances •
will begin at 8 p.m. white the
Sunday performances will start at 2 •*
p.m. All performances will be at
the Theatre for the Performing Arts
on the SPC Levelland campus.
Tickets are $8 for adults and I

Polly Kennedy will celebrate
her 91“ birthday on Oct. 25.
She was born in Grapeland,
TX, where she was raised by her
parents Lucinda and Robert Lee
Pridgen. She was married to Dr.
Malcolm Kennedy and the young
mother of three children, Don, Polly
Ann, and Frances when the family
moved to Levelland.
She helped to organize Special
Education for the mentally handi-
capped and taught Special Educa-
tion in the Levelland school system
for 18 years. She continued to sub-
stitute teach for many years follow-
ing her retirement.
Polly made the decision to
move into assisted living at
Levelland Hickory House in 1998.
She is m excellent health with the
exception of her hearing. That be-
ing only to appreciate her guests to
speak up a bit more than normal!
She enjoys the fellowship and
activities in her new home, and
especially her retirement from
planning and preparing each of her
meals! Polly, as always, enjoys
visitors dropping in to say hello.
Polly, as you read this, our dear
friend, mother, grandmother - we
love you, and we wish for you to
have a wonderful 91“ birthday
