Services for Delores “Dee” Mae
Biffle, 37, of Houston were held at
2 p m last Saturday, Sept. 30,2000,
at Bear Creek United Methodist
Church in Houston Pastor Bobbie
Maltas officiated
Burial followed at the Memorial
Oaks Cemetery under the direction
of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.
She died Wednesday, Sept. 27,
2000, in her home with her family
by her side. She had been fighting
brain cancer the past nine months
She was bom on Oct. 4, 1942, in
Tucumcari, NM to Wyatt and Willie
Batson She married Ronny Biffle
on June 22, 1963, in Anton. She
lived in the Houston area since
1969
She was a homemaker and a
member of the Anton United
Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband;
her two daughters and their
husbands, Mitzi and Rodney Abbott
and Tina and Roger Bailey, all of
Houston, her twin brother and his
wife, Wyatt Ray and Jan Batson of
Anton; two granddaughters.
Kyleigh Rowan and Peyton Bailey,
both of Houston, and two
granddaughters on the way.
Her pallbearers - were Darrell
Williams, Ken Gemer, Carter
Enlow, John Olson, Bobby Christy
and Robert Bennett.
The family suggests memorials
be made to the First United
Methodist Church in Anton.

Services for Venita Jean
Watson, 70, of Krum were held at
10 a.m. today, Oct. 4, 2000, at the
First Baptist Church of Krum.
Burial followed at the Krum
Jackson Cemetery. Arrangements
were under the direction of DeBerry
Funeral Home
She died on Sunday, Oct. 1,
2000, at Baylor Medical Center in
Dallas after a brief battle with
leukemia
She was bom on Feb. 5, 1930,
in Lynn County, TX to Joseph
Howard and Winnie Ethyl Basye
She grew up in Levelland. She
married Ed Watson on Aug. 9,
1948, in Leve ind
She attended new Life
Tabernacle Church in Little Elm.
TX.
She was preceded in death by
her parents and a son. Ens. Joe Don
Watson. US Navy, who was lost at
sea on Aug 25, 1975.
She is survived by her husband;
two daughters and their husbands.

begins Oct. 9 at South Plains
College in Levelland.
Proper design techniques, use
of Frontpage tools to facilitate web
site creation and how to insert
graphics, sound files and animation
into websites will be emphasized.
Classes meet 6-8:30 p.m.

Oct. 25 in the SPC Technical Arts

2000, at Covenant Medical Center
in Lubbock.

She was a member of Monterey
Baptist Church and had attended St
Luke’s United Methodist Church
She was preceded in death by
her first husband in 1976.
She is survived by her second
husband; two sons, Carl Walter
Brattain of Lubbock and William
Edward Brattain of Levelland. two
daughters, Phyllis lone Brattain
