Especially farmers and ranchers
of Palo Pinto County enthusiastical-
ly greated the showers that fell
Monday. The precipitation came
after several days when clouds had
hung around and summer heat
waves put in their hardest work.
Ranges have been dry and parch-
ed for weeks, and stock water sup-
plies were getting low. The show-
ers will aid plowing and planting
small grain crops as well as make
Fall gardens.
