topic will be “Preparation for Em-
ployment.

what Mrs. Vance has to offer our
high school students.

Attends District
Meet At Gruver
The president of the Top o’ Texas
District of FFA called the first
meeting of the school to order on
Tuesday, Sept. 28, at Gruver.
The minutes of the previous meet-
ing were read and approved. New
business was called for and the first
business was the nomination and
election of 1965-66 district officers.
District officers were elected and
took over their positions.
The first motion put before the
district meeting was to have a Dis-
trict Leadership Contest, including
Junior and Senior Chapter Conduct-
ing; Junior and Senior Farm Skill;
FFA Quiz; and FFA Radio Team.
The White Deer Chapter will parti-
cipate in all events.
The second motion concerned the
District Banquet. The motion was
made and seconded to have the Dis-
trict Banquet, Sweetheart and Tal-
ent Contest in Shamrock on Janu-
ary 3 at 7 p.m.
The following members of the
White Deer chapter attended the
meeting: James Ledford, Kenny
Putnam, David Franklin, Cavin
Martin and Advisor R. T. Laurie.
