Church
Couple wed in double ring
ceremony
ORANGE-Kay Michelle Em-
mert and Lt. Brian Kent Sattler ex-
changed wedding vows Saturday,
May 13, at 2 p.m. in First Church of
the Nazarene. Dr. Jim Stocks of
Kingwood. assisted by Pastor John
Williamson, officiated the double-
ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Ronald D. Emmert of
Bridge City.
The bridegroom is the son of Lt.
Col. (ret.) and Mrs. Harold Sattler
of Doss.
Wedding music was provided by
Margretta Bundy, piano, Karen
Thompson, organ, and Brent
Stewart, euphonium and trumpet.
Vocalists were Margaret Ann
Adams, Dr. Tom Bundy and Tom
Hoskins, and the bride's father who
sang “The Lord’s Prayer”.
The bride was given in marriage
by her father. The bride selected a
formal gown of white satin and
European cut lace. The fitted
bodice was adorned with an illusion
yoke rising to a sculptured collar
enhanced with lavaliers of pearl
strands and pearl drops. The
sleeves, styled with a slight pouf at
the shoulder, were long and sheer
with lace appliques tapering to a
scalloped modified point at the
back of the hand, closing with
French buttons and loops. From
the basque waist, the fully gathered
skirt fell to floor length and swept
to a circular cathedral train en-
hanced with lace appliques and
edged with a border of delicate
Schliffli lace. Her veil of bridal il-
lusion. sprinkled with pearls, was
held by a jeweled Alencon lace
tiear highlighted with loops of
pearls and Austrian crystals.
The bride carried a cascade of
white bridal flowers with pink
bridal roses, gypsophelia and white
miniature daisies tied with white,
rose and pink ribbon.
The bride was attended by her
sister, Rhonda Stewart, as matron
of honor. Bridesmaids were Lea
Ann Sattler, Carol Hodam and
Vickie Golden. Their tea-length
dresses were dusty rose lace over
pink bridal satin with satin bows
adorning the shoulder. They car-
ried hand-tied garden arrange-
ments of white daisies, pink
carnations and gypsophelia tied
with white, rose and pink ribbon.
The bridegroom’s brother, Capt.
Alan Sattler. sened as best man.
Groomsmen were Kent C'laggetl.
Scott Hansen and Tom Hoskins.
Seating the guests were Donnie
Clarlcv and Larry Snowbarger.

and Frisa Boulct.
A reception was held at Keown
Hall following the wedding
ceremony. Jana Childs registered
the guests. Members of the
housepariy were Betty Boulet,
Katrina Boyd, Debi Gunter. Maxi-
ne Skinner, Linda Snowbarger,
Carolyn Stroman and Christine
Williamson. Linda Carley served as
wedding director. At the reception,
vocalists Frisa Boulet and Tim
Snow barger sang “Sunrise, Sunset”
and “Love Will Be Our Home”
during a slide presentation high-
lighting the bride and groom's lives.
The bridegroom's parents hosted
a rehearsal dinner at Linder's Bar-
becue in Bridge City following
Friday's rehearsal.
The bride is a graduate of Bridge
City High School and Southern
Nazarene Liniversity with a B.S. in
elementary education and a master
of education degree from Stephen
F. Austin State University. She is a
fifth grade teacher in Tarkinton In-
dependent School District in
Cleveland, Texas.
The bridegroom is a graduate of
Fredericksburg High School and
Southern Na/arene University with
a B.A. in mass communication and
is presenting doing graduate work
at the University of Texas at Aus-
tin. He is a First Lieutenant in the
U. S. Air Force.
Following a wedding trip to Ger-
many, the couple will make their
home in Austin.
Ann Michelle Spell became the
bride of Byron Paul Terrier Friday,
May 12, at 7 p.m. Rev. Ed Robin-
son officiated the double ring
ceremony which was held in the
home of the bridegroom's parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Delbert P. Terrier.
The bride is the daughter of Ms.
Rosemary Spell of Orange, and
granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. T.
L. Butler of Sour Lake.
The bridegroom’s grandparents
are Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Terrier of
Port Arthur, Gloria Lovett of
Orange, and Albert Lovett of
Beaumont.
The bride was given in marriage
by her grandfather, T. L. Butler.
Christie Romero served as maid of
honor, and bridesmaid was Staci
Bouley.
For her wedding, the bride wye
a while satin gown with a scalloped
lace neckline and fitted bodice with
puffed sleeves. The gown was ac-
cented with pearls, iridescent se-
quins and crystals. The chapel
length train was also accented with
lace, pearls and sequined appli-
ques. Her fingertip length veil was
held in place with a seed pearl and
lily of the valley headpiece. She car-
ried a bouquet of white and irides-
cent silk flowers featuring lily of the
valley and orchids, and accented
with lace, pearls, crystals and
iridescent leaves and sequins.

Tiffany celebrated her first

in Baytown, with friends and rela-
tives. Everyone was entertained
by Joe Bo The Clown
Leo Tolstoy's wife copied the
manuscript of his epic novel War
and Peace by hand seven times.

ing Lamar University, majoring in
physical Therapy. He is employed
by Wal-Mart in Orange.
Following a wedding trip to
California, Colorado and Las
Vegas, the couple will live in Bridge
City.
Pre-neptual showers included a
miscellaneous shower hosted by
Elaine Bouley. Belinda Mc-
Dermand, Wanda Taylor and
Francis Harrison; a lingerie shower
hosted by Christie Romero; and a
shower at First City Bank of
Orange.
PELLOAT-LEWIS-Mr and Mrs Albert G Pelloat announce the
engagement of their daughter, Theresa Sue, to Alan Keith Lewis, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Theo Lewis of Vidor.
The couple will be married June 10, at 2 p.m. in St Henry’s Catholic
Church
The bride-to-be is a graduate of Bridge City High School and is
employed by The Curling Iron in Orange
The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Vidor High School, and
is employed by Wal-Mart in Crosby, as manager in automotive

ARBOR DAY—Arbor Day was celebrated by Mrs Cindi Brown s fourth
grade class at Hatton Elementary School. The students had a snack
time bake sale and raised money to purchase two trees lor the cam-
pus.
