Mrs. Lemley Feted

The T. E. L. class of the
First Baptist Church met at the
home of Mrs. W. Baten on Mon-
day, March 3rd to honor Mrs.
Ona Lemley who is having a
birthday this month and Mrs.
V. C. Hodges whose birthday
was recently.
The class made three quilts
and had a most enjoyable lun-
cheon, afterwards a Living
Bible was presented to Mrs.
Lemley as a going away gift.
She is returning to California
to'make her home.
Mrs. W. B. Carey, the teach-
er of the class brought a devot-
ional from the 53rd chapter ol
Psalms and excerpts were taken
from Leroy Brownlaw on "Mak-
ing the Most out of Life". Each
member was asked to relate
the most rewarding thing she
had experienced during the
year of 1974.
The closing prayer was voic-
ed by Mrs. E. L. Colgrove.
The following were present;
Medames G. A. Bell, Vernon
Werth, Lelia Matthews and
C. PrHussey besides those al-
ready men tioned._

Mrs. E. C. Shuman's sister Mrs.
Joie Dale Brown of Tulia and
her sister-in-law Mrs. Jack Mc-
Manigal of Canyon visited her
last weekend.
Attend Funerol In Panhandle
Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Howard
attended the funeral in Pan-
handle of Mr. Howard's cousin
Mrs. Margaret Woodring of
Amarillo, age 53, who died
of a heart attack. She was the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clif-
ford Wasson of Panhandle.
Weekend Guests
Weekend guests in the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Kalka were
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Kalka and
family of Hereford. Rosalea
and David also spent the night.
They all attended the Knights
of Columbus Polish Sausage
Supper in Pampa.

Debbie F.denborough in Pan-
handle last week were Mrs. E.
F. Tubb, Mrs. R. A. Thompson,
Mrs. Jewell Barnard, Mrs. Ellen
Turner and Mrs. Laura Jo Skaggs.
Mrs. F.denborough is a resident
of the Garretson Senior Citizens
Center, Mr. Rob Morris and
Mr. Joe Landry also reside there.

Center In Amorillo

The Top O'Texas CowBelles
met at Furr's Cafeteria in Pampa
at noon on Monday, March 3
with the members from White
Deer serving as hostesses. Tables
were decorated with Easter mot i f.
Speaker for the occasion was
Mrs. Wayne Owens of Lubbock,
who is State President of the
Texas CowBelies. She talked to
the group about heel promotion.
During the business meeting
the Top O' Texas CowBelles
presented a representative from
the Genesis House in Pampa a
check for the purchase of a half
of beef.
A reminder that the Amarillo
Daily News subscriptions were
being taken by the Top O'Texas
CowBelles at the regular price
to the subscriber was given.
The next regular meeting
will be Monday. April 7 at
11:30 a.m. at Furr's Cafeteria
in Pampa with the group from
Groom as hostesses. The speaker
will he Mr. John Beche, feed-
lot owner.

PIZZABURGERS
Saute-1 onion, chopped in
I Tbsp. butter.
Mix - 1 lb. ground beef.
1 egg
1 2 tsp. garl ic salt
1 tsp. mi need parsley
1 4 tsp. oregano
3 Thsp. tomato paste
Add to the onion mixture and
let brown. Turn heat low and
’simmer a few minutes, adding
water if mixture seems dry.
Spread on muffin halves-, heap-
ing high. Top with sliced Moz-
arella cheese. Broil until cheese
melts. Serves 4-6.
