Millsaps final opponent
for 1972 grid season
By Tom Sedlacek
The TLC Bulldogs once again
ravel out of state as they journey
o Jackson, Mississippi, to meet
\AiIIsaps College. It will be the
:irst meeting ever between the
wo schools.
Being a new team on the Bull-
dog schedule, Millsaps is rela-
tively unknown to the TLC
coaches. Austin College, a team
the Bulldogs crushed 40-6, is the
only common foe of the two. The
Majors also were victorious but
only be a 7-0 score.
Millsaps had a 4-5 record last
season but were without veteran
quarterback Dale Keyes for most
of that campaign. He is back this
year and brightens the Majors'
hopes for a winning season.
The Dogs will be going after
win number six and their fourth
in a row. It would mark the long-
est winning streak since the 1961
season.
TLC is coming off their biggest
offensive production of the sea-
son as they blasted Bishop Col lege
49-28. They rolled up 490 total
yards offensively with Royce
Johnson gaining 250 to again
break the school rushing record.
His 1,154 yards for one season al-
so set a new school mark.
Singled out for individual per-
formances for the Bishop game
were Walter Bartosh, defensive
standout and Willie Moore on the
offense. David Wehmeyer and
Gary Dwaraczyk delivered the
hardest hits of the game.
Joe Froelich and Otis Fields
both sustained injuries at Bishop
and both will probably miss the
finale against Millsaps.
