In Skellytown To Start
Annual Spring Revival
. The First Baptist Church in
Skellytown is holding a revival
April 16-23 with Evangelist
Preston Harrison of Duke, Okla,
doing the preaching. The even-
ing services are 7:30 p. m.
Monday thru Saturday. Mr..
Jason Luck is the song leader.
There is a luncheon Monday-
Friday at 12 noon in the Fellow-
ship Hall. After lunch, Evan-
gelist Harrison will present a
lesson.
Study Club Program
Venado Blanco Study Club
met Monday night, April 3,
1978 in the Community Cen-
ter with Sue Hinkley as hostess
and Carolyn Im me I as co-
hostess.
Minutes were read by Mar-
garet Simmons and approved
as read.
Roll call was answered by
showing pictures of each
members children and grand-
children and telling about
them.
Everyone is invited and a nur-
sery is provided according to
Rev. Milton Thompson, reg-
ular minister of the Church.
Mrs. Simmons gave a delight-
ful narrative on Grandmothers.
The grandmothers dates back
as far as the Caves in im-
portances. They were cooks

and hept the fires burning,
so when the hunters came
home they could eat and be
warm. They took care of the
ill and made cures of herbs.
Dr. Shedd's book "Then God
Created Grandparents and It
Was Very Good" says that
grandparents can and should
be fun. Spell it trips together
and sessions around the family
table. Spell it good times
shared and communications.
Spell it many ways but some-
times spell "grandpa", "grand-
ma" .
Refreshments of lemon des-
sert, coffee and cokes were
served to all members present.

The Art Club met on Thursday.
April 13 in the home of Mrs.
Viola Coffee.
The ladies enjoyed an after-
noon of 42 and visiting. High
score went to Gladys O'Neal.
