Home Mission Books
The Girls in Action and
Royal Ambassadors met Feb-
ruary 16 for the study of the
Home Mission books.
The second and third grade
groups studied "All Dad's
Hats" by Linda Sledge. This
was a study of Darryl's dad
who never had spare time.
Five days a week his father
put on a hard hat and worked
at a construction job. The
rest of the week he was a
church extension pastor of a
small church.

Flag Parade Given
At Baptist Church
The youth mission organi-
zations of the First Baptist
Church presented a very im-
pressive ceremony during
the morning worship service
February 11. Each member
made a flag of one of the
ninety-three countries in
which Southern Baptist have
foreign missionaries. It was
emphasized that 3, 064 for-
eign missionaries are support-
ed through the Cooperative
Program and the Lottie Moon
Christmas Offering.
Mrs. Kay Abney was the
moderator of the service. As
each child presented his flag,
he stated his name, the name
of the country and the num-
ber of missionaries serving
in the country. The partici-
pants circled the church audi-
torium and Bro. Harold Ab-
ney closed the presentation
with prayer for the mission-
aries and their work.
Mission Friend leaders are
Mrs. Yvonne Thomas,
Sheila Terry, Patty Smith
and Linda McGee. Leaders
of Girls in Action are Kay
Abney, Becky Poland,
Kandy Bolding, Sandy Wood-
all, Paula Tweedie, Terri

Kelly.
Royal Ambassador leaders

heart, Mrs. Violet Gordze-
lik at a Sweetheart Dinner

United Methodist Church.

A. Keahey’s Brother
Johnnie Keahey, oldest
brother of Altus Keahey, pass-
ed away Feb. 13. Services
were held in Crawford, Okla,
on Feb. 17.
He is survived by two daught-
ers, six other brothers, three
sisters and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Bunker Hill
Feted At Shower
Mrs. Charles (Bunker) Hill,
nee Jackie Bichsel, was feted
with a bridal shower Monday
evening, February 21, at
Sacred Heart Parish Hall.
Approximately forty guests
registered at a white covered
table holding a brass bud vase
filled with red and white car-
nations, the brides chosen
col ors.
Champaigne punch, coffee,
and petit fours were served.
The serving table was center-
ed with a gold urn containing
red«and white silk flowers;
entertwined with live ivy.
