No segment of the economy has ever changed
so fast and so completely as has agriculture
during the past 60 years. When these changes
have required capital, your Federal Land Bank
has been a primary source of funds. There will
be more changes. But we believe that a free
agriculture —based on the family-operated farm
or ranch—will continue to flourish
in any new environment.
We are banking
on the farm family and
on the family farm.

vilege if you are a Christian,
Peace on earth awaits the re-
turn of the Prince of Peace.
Every Christian ought to have
the peace of God in his every
day life. H.G. Wells, a well
known historian who's book
sold over two million copies
and was translated into many
languages. A man of influenc-
es. wealth, genius and great
energy, wrote in his "Experi-
ment in Autobiography", "The
time has come to reorganize
my peace." and then, cons-
cious of his own inability to
find what he so much wants,
cries out, "I cannot adjust my
life to secure any fruitful peace.
Here I am at sixty-five still
seeking for peace. That dig-
nified peace is just a hopeless
dream" How tragic that a man
of his intelligence and accomp-
lishments should come to this
stage in his life. No matter
what else we may have, if we
do not have peace we are miss-
ing one of the main ingredients
of life and the ingredient is
the Lord Jesus Christ for He
adds peace. "Wherefore see-
ing we are justified by faith
we have peace w ith God through
our Lord Jesus Christ."
Romans 5:1.

One of mankinds greatest de-
sires is to have peace. Not just
peace between nations, but
peace within his heart and soul.
There is no amount of money
that can purchase this peace and
tranquility. In our childhood
we found peace in our parents
by placing all our concerns in-
to their hands. Yet our heaven-
ly Father tells us to place all
our cares on Him for He cares
for us. Peace is spoken of in
the Bible in three ways: Peace
with God, Peace of God and
Peace on earth.
Peace with God is the term
used to express the relationship
that prevails when rebellious
man surrenders up the sword of
his self-will against God and
comes over on God’s side. This
is set forth in Romans 5:1,
"Wherefore seeing we are just-
ified by faith we have peace
with God through our Lord Jesus
Christ." Man's opposition to
God ceases when he makes his
peace with God.
Peace of God is an inner state
of tranquility that comes as the
result of making peace with God.
Somewhere in the life of every
Christian there ought to be a
sea of tranquility where the
tornadoes, cyclones, and hur-
ricanes of life do not disturb.
If you do not have this peace,
you are living below your pri-
