Visit Kansas Relatives
Mr. and Mrs. Don Hadley
and family spent the Thanks-
giving holidays in Stockton,
Kansas, visiting his rela-
tives. They returned home
on Saturday.
John Kramer Had
88th Birthday Mon.
John Kramer observed his
birthday on November 28
quietly at home.
He was born on November
28, 1895, in Pallein of
Trier, Prussia Germany (now
West Germany) to Corporal
and Mrs. John Kramer. He
attended school there. He
was in the army during
World War L
John Kramer came to the
United States in 1923 and
to Skellytown in 1927. He
married Stella Owens in
Arkansas in 1930.
He received many honors
from his relatives and friends
on Monday.
John Kramer is one of
those unique human beings
who has the ability to make
others happy.
He and his wife are mem-
bers of the First Assembly
of God Church in Skelly-
town.

A reception was held im-
mediately following the
ceremony. Presiding at
the cake service was Car-
ol Beddy, the bridegrooms
sister, of Amarillo. Barbie
Hostos of White Deer, pre-
sided at the punch bowl,
Mrs. Cargal graduated
from Miami High School
in 1978. She is employed
at Norma’s Corner Cafe in
Skellytown.
Cargal graduated from
Blair, Oklahoma, High
School in 1972. He is
employed at Carson County
Cabot Plant.
The couple reside at 705
Chamberlain.
Visits Daughter In Missouri
O. M. Kramer flew to Jop-
lin, Missouri, to spend
Thanksgiving with his daught-tended by his son, K. C.

Dorinda Warmer became
the bride of Ken E. Cargal
Saturday, November 19,
1983, at half past two in
an impressive ceremony
in the sanctuary of the Com-
munity Church. Pastor
George Holloway officiated
before a group of relatives
and close friends.
The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth
Hamby of Miami. The
bridegrooms parents are
Mr. and Mrs. Loren Cargal
of Skellytown.
The bride was attired in
a street length burnt orange
two-piece frock with off-
white overjacket with fall
flowers. She carried an off-
white bouquet of silk flow-
ers with orange streamers.
Kandi Cargal, grooms
daughter, was her only at-
tendant. She was attired
in a street-length
flowered frock.

Rev. Beaver Gives
Thanksgiving Sermon
Mrs. Sylvia Melton of
Oklahoma City, Okla, was
one of the soloist at the
combined Thanksgiving
services held at the Commun-
ity Church Sunday evening
beginning at 7:00 p. m.
Pastor Glen Beaver gave the
sermon of hope and Thanks- '
giving.
People from the surround-
ing area came to hesfr the
sermon in word and song.
In addition to congregation-
al singing, there were spec-
ial solos and groups includ-
ing Glen and Betty Beaver,
! Barbara Roe, Mrs. Melvin
Kramer and others. Mrs.
Sylvia Melton, the daught-
er of George Holloway, was
special guest soloist.
Following worship services,
refreshments were served in
the Annex.
McCarthys Hosted
Family Dinner Thurs.
Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Mc-
Carthy hosted a family
Thanksgiving dinner Thurs-
day for family members in
the Pampa-Skellytown area.
The menu consisted of
steak, potatoes, com-on-
the-cob, salad, dessert,
and beverages.

visited the McCarthy’s on
Thanksgiving Day. '

Billy Rhodes and his sister-
Ella Mae Hicks, visited in
Fort Worth over the Thanks-
giving holidays.

D.C. McCarthy was hon-

He was born November
27, 1909, near Guymon,
Okla.
