was blown in, and a child was report-
ed to have been injured at Matagor-
da by a flying piece of debris. Neith-
er was hurt serkw-ly, meager reports
said.
The storm broke upon the coast
with little warning, and hundreds of
persons were stranded upon exposed
islands and in isolated positions. More
than 500 were reported to have been
marooned upon
alone, but all were
to be safe although
the mainland had
