WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

brated their golden wedding anniver-
sary Thursday afternoon with a brief
service at St. Paul's Lutheran church
at 4 o'clock. Rev. Hartman used
Psalm 71, vs. 7-9 for the subject of
his address. Only immediate relatives
which number about ninety-five at-

Mrs. Fletchcer Brewer of Wash-
ington, D. C„ who is making an,ex-

antly informal bridge party Wednes-
day evening, when she invited a few
friends to meet Mrs. Buchanan and

made by Miss Isabel Becker, who
was rewarded with a pretty piece
of pottery. Mrs. Brewer remember-
ed the honor guest with - a lovely

At the close of the game delicious

served on the card tables.
Both Mrs. Brewer and Mrs.
Buchanan make their homes in
Washington, and the former was
very happy to have the opportunity
of introducing Mrs. Buchanan to a
group of her Brenham friends. Mrs
Buchanan is a charming and attrac-
tive young matron who is being
cordially welcomed to Brenham by
