Last week I went by to see a
Cowboy artist that has moved
to our little town. He was work-
4 ing on a picture of Poncho Villa
I in Mexico with his army. It was
a beautiful picture and looked
so real. The picture had moun-
tains in the background and a
small Mexican village in the
valley and Villa’s men on
horseback were riding out of
the village. Right in the center
of the picture was Villa riding a
big black horse. That picture
reminded me of something in
the Bible. God created every-
thing and we are made in His
image, (Genesis 1:26&27). We
k can make decisions, they can
A be good or they can be bad.
R Adam and Eve made a bad
’ decision when they chose to
> j disobey God and eat the for-
( bidden fruit and they suffered
' greatly for that, (Genesis 3:2-7,
11, 17-19). God wants us to
make Him number one in our
_ life and the start is to accept
Jesus Christ, (John 14:6). A
great mistake is to draw near to
God and be greatly blessed by
Him and then forget or ignore
Him after receiving many
blessings, (Deuteronomy
4:1&2, 8:1&2, 11-20, 9:7,
Psalm 78:7). It seems like our
= great Nation that has been
extremely blessed by God is
now turning its back on Him. It
is individuals, families, commu-
nities, towns, cities and even
our politicians. Let us not leave
God out of the picture.
See you in Church next
Sunday. -Brother J

Loetz, Breckenridge Fine Arts
Center, Breckenridge, Texas.
All mediums were adequately
represented. Photos shown
show the diversity of the area
artists. Many work in more than
one medium.
