Whoever loves discipline loves

Proverbs 12:1
by Rev. Morris Wood
St. John 14: 6
Jesus said unto him, "I am
the way, the truth and the
life. No man comes unto God
or the Father, but by me.”
Jesus Christ is a way to
God. He is the way to find
God. The Bible teaches He is
the only way that mankind
can approach God, through
the shed blood of Jesus
Christ, the Savior of
mankind. He is the truth the
truth found in Jesus Christ,
the truth found in God’s
word, The Holy Bible, ab-
solute truth found in the
scriptures and the life-
eternal life and gternal
peace found in Christ Jesus.
St. Matthew 24: 44
"Therefore, be ye also
ready for in such an hour as
you think not, the Son of man
cometh.”
The Bible teaches that
Jesus Christ will return to
this world again. That is
called the second coming of
Jesus Christ. The Bible
teaches that we are supposed
to be ready - that means
spiritually prepared to face
God for that He will come in
an hour when we are not
thinking that He will come.
Now, either we will be here
alive or we will go by way of
the grave. Either way, the
Bible teaches be prepared to
face God.

and sisters in the eating of the
Love Feast (Lord's Supper).
Some were rushing ahead of the
others eating and drinking while
the rest were going hungry with-
out food. Paul could not stand
for such rudeness and in (Is. 33),
he told the Church to wait for me
another when they came toge-
ther to eat.
How do we keep from being
rude, by not focusing on self all
the time and being sensitive |
to the people around us Jesus ♦
put in plainly when he said ♦
"treat others as you would have ▼
them treat you." No one wants Y
to be treated rudely, so let us do T
our best and prey that God will |
provide us with the strength to |
be sensitive to other's feelings ♦
and needs. Remember - Love is ▼
not rude. f
Your friend,
Jimmy Sportsman
The father broke in with.
“Is he hurt much?' ’
“No, he’s not hurt, just
jarred a little bit. Car isn't badly
damaged either.' ’
"Tell my son I'll be out
there immediately.' ’
A man and his wife and
their 17-year-old son were eat-
ing dinner together. The son
looked up a little uneasily,
yet eagerly, and said, "Dad,
would it be possible for you to
let my use the car tonight?
I have a date and my buddy
has a date, and the four of us
could ride in your car. We'll
take good care of it - be real
careful and we'll only go to the
movies, nowhere else. I would so
he had taken the car out alone
When 11:00 o'clock drew near,
the father became anxious and
started pacing the floor. He went
out on the porch and back again,
and then the telephone rang
Both of them ran for it. The
father got it and a lady's voice
came over the wire: “I’m a
nurse at the hospital. There’s
been an automobile accident
It's not bad but someone that s
kin to you wanted me to call
and tell you...”
I THIN K THERE is a lot more
in this story than comes to mind
immediately. I wonder if we
aren't worrying about the
wrong generation? I wonder if
the men who are in the most
danger aren't our fathers or
the fathers of the younger gen-
eration? I wonder if we are
caring enough and worrying
enough about them? I wonder
if they aren't the ones who are
carrying such a load that they
may break and crack under it?
I wonder if we think enough
about them? I wonder if we do
enough for them? 1 wonder if
we show our love for them often
enough? I wonder if on this
Father’s Day each of us. couldn't
do something nice for the man
who has made many sacrifices
for us?

One of the things that I dislike
to see in others, and especially
in myself, is rudeness. And
people are rude to each other
everyday.
Paul says that "love is not
rude;” love does not act un-
beamingiy in the sense that
rudeness distorts the image of
Jesus which should be present in
every Christian.
Rudeness, like so many of
the characteristics of what love
"is not", such as anagome
jealous, and boastfullnesu,
reveals a heart that is far too
centered on self. All an inter-
tially rude person cares about is
doing what he wants, where he
wants, and however he wants,
regardless of whose feelings he
hurts.
In ( 1 Cor. 11:20-22), Paul
rebuked the Corinthians for the
rudeness shown to their brothers
