Blue Super Suds
New Detergent
> -o-x ~-
• Many Shiner housewives can
• recall the time—not too long
ago—when they^ switched from
bar soap to soap powder and
chips for easier home launder-
ing. Then, after the war, soap
powder gave way to synthetic
detergents—chiefly because the
synthetics were unaffected by
hard water. Because they eli-
minated unsightly soap scum
and greying soap films, synthe-
tic detergents have enjoyed
ever-increasing popularity. /
Since the war, however, there
have been many advances in
detergent science and introduc-
tion of an “advanced detergent”
in this area was announced by
the Colgate research laborator-
ies last week. Development of
this all-new detergent—New
Blue Super Suds—was not ex-
pected to be completed before
1955. Colgate laboratories^ how-
ever, broke all records to bring
this great advanced detergent
to housewives here a full two
years ahead of schedule.
The first big difference you
notice about new, Super Suds
Detergent is its color: the gran-
ules are actually blue. And they
contain the most effective Whit-
ener known to science—even
more efficient than bluing. Us-
ing new, Blue Super Suds De-
tergent, Shiner housewives can
now get the whitest wash ever
seen, and without a bluing.
Another exclusive 'Colgate
feature in new Blue Super Suds
is- the speed with which its
granules dissolve: even in ice-
cold, hardest water the blue
lightning granules of all-new
blue Super Suds will dissolve
up to four times faster than any
other type packaged soap or
detergent. Actually, among all
leading packaged home laundry
soaps and detergents, no other
type suds get clothes so clean,
yet go to work so fast.
To introduce this new, ad-
vanced detergent to Shiner
l housewives, local grocers are
t featuring new, blue Super Suds
'detergent in a special half-price
'sale: for every large size box
you buy, you get a second box
for half-price. As this special
offer is limited, budget-wise
shoppers will want to make a
note on this week’s shopping
list: New Blue Super Suds De-
tergent.
