ebrated throughout the world.
The theme for Week of Prayer
2000 is "Praise be to God who has
blessed us in Christ and sealed us in
the Spirit.”
The scripture is Ephesians 1:3-
14. which begins “Endeavoring to
keep the unity of the Spirit in the
bond of peaci There is one body
and one Spirit, even as you are
called in one hope of your calling:
One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
one God and Father of all who is
above all and through all in you
all. ”

Bouquet for Valentine's
Monday, Feb. 14
With the unlimited possibilities in the new millen-
nium will come a host of problems. We may be
smart enough, hut will we be good enough to pre-
serve our foundations of freedom, faith and family
in the next century?
In our lifetime, we will see more human achievements in medicine,
science, technology. Wonders in space and cyberspace.
But what about inner space: the real Final Frontier? Will our hearts be
as large as our brains? With our insatiable thirst for information, enter-
tainment and progress, how will we settle the ethical and spiritual ques-
tions? This decade will see violent fights over the home, the elderly, the
environment, business, school, the internet, the individual, the preborn.
The biting question will be: What rules will we play by? What foun-
dations will we build on?
The Bible says: If the foundations be removed, what can the righteous
do? In our collapsing culture, hell-bent on trashing every absolute truth,
is there hope?
Absolutely.
God hasn't changed. And neither has His Word.
His absolute freedom, forgiveness, peace anil love can still be experi-
enced in any millennium! He can still he found by the hungry heart.
He says: "Though heaven and earth pass away. My Word will stand
forever! "
The sw eet smell of love is in
the air. and it's coming from
the Stargazer Lilies. Red
Roses. Limonium, Pink
Waxflower, and White
