Parade Closures — The
annual Christmas Parade will
begin with line up at 5 p.m. on
Market St. between Lee High
School and the GCCISD adminis-
tration building on Carnegie and
Martin Luther King streets
between Gentry and Market
streets. The parade will begin at
6:30 p.m. The following locations
will be closed from 5:30 to 8 p.m.:
Market St. and J.B. LeFevre,
Decker Drive and Market St. at
Texas Ave., Lee Drive at Gulf St.,
Texas Ave. at Main St. and Texas
Ave. at Commerce St. Only
parade-related traffic will be
allowed on Market St., arid begin-
ning at 6 p.m„ traffic cannot turn
left from Decker Drive onto Texas
Ave. The parade will end at the
intersection of Texas Ave. and
Commerce St. All parade partici-
pants must turn right onto Com-
merce St. to exit the parade.
Cookie Training—The
Goose Creek Girl Scout Service
Unit will hold a cookie training for
troop leaders and cookie man-
agers from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at St.
Paul’s Lutheran Church, 712
Schilling, behind Blockbuster
Video. Babysitting will be provid-
ed. For more information, call the

TOPS—Taking Off Pounds
Sensibly chapter 794 will meet

vice League’s general meeting will
be held at 9:30 a.m. in the home of
Mrs. Gary Armer Sr. A brunch hon-
oring new activities, associates
and life members will be held at 11
a.m. following the meeting.
Church Women United —
The board managers of Church
Women united will meet at 9:30
a.m. at Mt. Rose Baptist Church,

Women’s Club—The
Women’s Club will meet at 10:30
a.m. at the Goose Creek Country
Club for a Christmas program and
luncheon. Members will bring
wrapped gifts for children under

Silver Linings—The Lee
College Players will perform “Silver
Linings," a collection of adult com-
edy sketches by Ted Tally at 8
p.m. at the Melva Johnson Theatre
in the LC McNulty-Haddick Com-
plex, 711W. Texas Ave. Admis-
sion is a donation to the LC The-
atre Arts Scholarship Fund. For

BLT Plays - ’The Best Christ-
mas Pageant Ever” and “The
Christmas Caper” will be per-

pler, 89, of Mont Belvieu will be
held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5 at
First Baptist Church of Mont
Belvieu with the Rev. Bobby Smith
of Galveston and the Rev. Glen
Howard, pastor of First Baptist
Church of Mont Belvieu, officiat-
ing. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Thurs-
day at Davis Cemetery, Colmes-
neil, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Edward
Davis, Ronald Davis, Doyle Cow-
art, Gary Stacy, Gordon Speer and
Paul Williams.
Crumpler died Tuesday, Dec. 3 at
her Mont Belvieu home.
She was bom June 9,1907, near
Colmesneil, Texas. In 1931, she
moved with her late husband to
Mont Belvieu. Crumpler was a
homemaker and longtime member
of the First Baptist Church of Mont
Belvieu.
She was preceded in death by her
husband, Ralph Crumpler. Sur-
vivors include her son and daugh-
