Hazel Miller Grodhaus, 91,

Austin.
Grodhaus was bom on Dec 16,
1906, in Laurel, Miss., and lived
in Baytown for over 70 years.«
She was affiliated with Cedar
Bayou United Methodist Church
and was a devoted wife, mother
and homemaker.
Grodhaus is preceded in death
by her husband, Adolph F. Grod-
haus; daughter Faye (Brady)

She is survived by her sons,

Jack Brady of Cedar Bayou;

Berniece Hill, 87, of Okla-
homa City, Okla., died Thursday,
Dec. 25,1997, in Norman, Okla.
Born on June 26, 1910, in
Union Bluff Community of Hill
County, Hill was the daughter of
Ralph and Maude Daniel
Cypert.
She moved to Hillsboro in
1983 where she was a member
of Central Christian Church.
She married Homer Hill on
Nov. 25, 1932. They lived in
Baytown for most of their mar-
ried life.
Hill was also an accounting
assistant with Exxon for 25
years.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, Homer Hill on Jan.
31, 1976; brother, Maurice
“Bud” Cypert and older sister,
Pauline Carlton.
Hill is survived by her daugh-
ter, Carolyn Selensky and her
husband, Fred of Oklahoma City,
Okla.; sister, Marie Reddell of
Hillsboro; companion for the

Dan “D.V.” Ott, 76, died Fri-
day, Dec. 26,1997, in Baytown.
Born on Aug. 7, 1921, in
Rotan, Ott had lived in Baytown
since 1950.
After being in car sales for
dealerships, he soon became an
owner and operator of his own
auto sales company.
Ott was the former president
of Independent Dealers Associa-
tion and a former member of the
Baytown Police Auxiliary.
He also a member and helped
formed the First Church of God.
He was preceded in death by
his parents Dan V. and Mollie
Matthews Ott; sister Essie
Graves and granddaughter, Jean-
Cemetery with the Rev. Kenn ice Standard Droddy.
Ott is survived by his wife of
57 years, Pauline Ott; son and
daughter-in-law, Dale and Jane
Ott of Baytown; daughters and
sons-in-law, Dana and Tommy
Standard, Tresa and Tommy
Eastman, Billie and Andy Atkins
and Lona Gale and Robert Don-
Ion; sisters, Eva Mae Newcomb
and Leta Cooper; grandchildren,

1997, in a Groves hospital.
Born in Cove on Sept. 19,
1935, Guidry was an electrician
Oklahoma City and several and a Marine Corps veteran.
He was a resident of Beau-
mont for 50years.
He was preceded in death by
his mother, Ima Hill Guidry.
Guidry is survived by his
father and stepmother, Sammie
H. and Juanita Guidry of Beau-

church expanded during the late
