XIPSI LAMBDA — It was time to elect new officers for
the XI PsI Lambda Sorority In Llano, and whan the vote
was completed, they all lined up the right order starting

general! She was the organizing
president of the Llano chapter. The
1986 conventiorti will be held in Fort
Worth.
Billie Marie McMullen and Patsy
Smith were appointed to make the
final plans for the garage sale to be
held at the home of Imogene Wilson,
901 Exall Street in Llano, October 5.
Members are asked to price their
donated items and bring them to the
meeting September 25, or tp Mrs.
Wilson.
Joan Zumwali McBride of Brady
presented the program on the
Zumwalt family. Natives of Prussia,
they landed at Baltimore, Maryland,
September.24, 1837, and succeeding
generations migrated to Bourbon
County.- Kentucky when free land
was offered. They later moved to
Missouri and then to Texas, both
times to receive land grants. Settling
in Gonzales, they served in the Texas
Revolution in 1836, in the War
BetweenJhe States and the Spanish
American War. McBride stated that
shejs related from both her mother’s
and her father’s) side ,to Andrew
Zumwalt under whose name she
joined the DRT.

Rhonda Kay Robbins Cheatham of
Odessa received the fioctor of
Medicine degree from Baylor Col-
lege of Medicine in ceremonies held
May 21 in Houston,
Rhonda Cheatham is the daughter
of Gene Ann Schlemeyer of Odessa
and Don.Robbins of Llano, and the
Igranddaughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Cooper Robbins of Llano.
She will enter a residency training
program in obstetrics and gynecol-
ogy at Bayior affiliated hospitals in
Houston.
Dr. Cheatham attended Odessa
College and received her undergrad-
uate degree in biology from the
University of Texas at Permian Basin
in 1981. She was a member <rf Phi
Theta Kappa, Phi Beta Kappa and
was named to "Who’s Who." 1
