Churches crowded for Easter
Mother Nature played a trick on all
of us Easter "Sunday. We left for
church services in bright warm
sunshine, returned in cloudy cold
weather. Misty rain fell during the
afternoon. According to those suspi-
cious folk, we will have rain every
Sunday for seven (7) Sundays.
Personally I believe that as much as
the ground hog story.
Talking of EAster, both our
churches had packed houses Sunday.
At St. John there were many visitors
So for fear I might omit someone's
name to suffice it to say many came
home to see parents and grandpar-
ents and attended services. One
> exception is the former Carol Umfrid
and husband, Jordan, both in the
U.S. Army in Germany, who were on
furlough. Sorry I did not get the rank
of each: ■
And this bit of late news. Palm
Sunday, March 31, (there was a
group of about twelve young folk
with their directors, Mr. and Mrs.
Pat Moore all from Walnut Hill
United Methodist ChurchjoQallas,
attended services at Trirlity. They
were on a tour of the Hill County and
had never attended services in a
small community. The report from
the local pastor's wife was that they
were such a disciplined group and
enjoyed the service immensely.
We're sorry our neighbors, Robert
