“Share The Shop”
Title Of Mini-
Convention Theme
"Share the Shop" was the
theme of the mini conven-
tion at Conway when the
State delegate report,
County Council, and of-
ficer training meetings were
combined.
Rose Marie Warminski,
Dena Lambert and Nita Ram-
ming gave a comprehensive
report of the State Conven-
tion and the work shops they
attended. Members learn-
ed how to reinforce their
personalities with styles
and colors in their choice
of clothing; the vitalness
of knowing what drugs you
are taking; and timely ques-
tions in citizenship intrigu-
ed those present to learn
more about their represen-
tatives, their voting records
and awareness of what a
good citizen is. Oral his-
tories were encouraged al-
so by those enthusiastic del-
egates. Thirty-three mem-
bers and guests attended.
"Christmas In November, "
ideas for Christmas giving
was discussed at the Coun-
cil meeting. These will
be presented by the various
clubs and a food sampling
table with recipes avail-
able will be featured at the
Nov. 14 meeting in the
White Deer Community
Center.

The 8th Grade Little
Bucks were defeated by
Gruver, 52-6 in a game
that lacked emotion and
spirit, according to Coach
Dwight Huffman. "The
Little Bucks went into the
bailgame without the ser-
vices of three starters, " he
continued.
The Little Bucks' score
came on a 3 yd. run by
Bobby Martin. The ball
was moved down the field
prior to the score by passes
thrown by Will Brown and
caught by Tracy Kotara
and running by Bobby Mar-
tin, John Hill and Jimmy
Roland.
Coach Huffman said,
"The Little Bucks are be-
ginning to use the philosophy
of "I believe" rather than
"I think. " When using "I
think" usually only the
thought processes of the
mind are involved and these
can be manipulated by cir-
cumstance, but if the phil-
osophy of "I believe" is
used then the mind, heart
■ and body is envolved in the
activity and there is more
emotions, discipline, mo-
tivation, mental toughness,
sacrifice, knowledge and
goal setting involved. The
i coaches BELIEVE that the
Little Bucks will play quite
well this week when they
meet Sunray at the Skelly-
town stadium. "

Junior Varsity
Austin, will establish a new
Institute for Fusion Studies.
The institute will engage in
theoretical studies of nuclear
fusion, the understanding and,
mastery of which can provide*^
the basis for extracting
energy from an almost inex-
haustible source—water. One
pitcher of water would contain
enough “fuel” (from
deuterium found in sea water)
to provide an average
household with electricity for
a year.
