Honored At Shower
Mrs. Pansy Ruth Palmer
was honored with a wedding
shower Thursday evening
in the Garden Room of the
First United Methodist
Church in Borger.
The brides chosen colors
of blue and white were

Plan Christmas Party
Five squares of Square
Dancers enjoyed the calling
of Pete Birkes, Friday
night, November 30 at the
Community Center. Several
members of Boots 'N Calico
from Borger were guests
for the evening of fun.
The Stampeders will be
having their Christmas
dinner and dance on Friday
night, December 7 at
7 p. m. in the White Deer
Community Center. The
club will be electing
officers for the next months
at a short business meeting.
To Visit Garretson’s Home
FHA members of White
Deer High School will be
hosting their annual Christ-
mas party and visit to
Garretson's Senior Citizen
Home in Panhandle on Mon-
day night, December 10. All

elected secretary to fill the
position vacated by the
moving of Mrs. Ollie Buc-
hanan.
Mrs. Charlene Milton
gave a very interesting
program on "Impressions
of the Texas Panhandle".
A lover of the Texas Pan-
handle had suggested to
Michael-Frary that there
was much beauty to put on
■ canvas but after viewing
the Panhandle he had not
found anything that caught
his eye. After a few days,
however, he began to
capture many beautiful
sights on canvas .and com-
piled a whole series of oil
paintings and watercolors.

Christmas Party*
The T.E.L. Class of the
First Baptist Church met in
the home of Mrs. Audrey
Alexander, Thursday, Nov.
29 for a Quilting Party.
The quilt was completed
by ladies attending and will
be given to a needy family.
A Christmas party will be
held December 12 at 2 p. m.
in the home of Mrs. Pauline
Carey. The Lottie Moon
offering will be taken up
at this time.

WEEKEND IN AMARILLO
Mrs. F. O. Tucker spent
the weekend in Amarillo
at the home of her daughter
Mrs. Ken Floyd while Mr.
Floyd was on a hunting trip.

THANKSGIVING REUNION
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Easter
were in Okema, Oklahoma
over the Thanksgiving holi-
days to attend the annual
family reunion of Mrs.
Easter's family. Present

three sisters, a brother and
