NEWS BRIEFS FOR WEEK
Writing seminar
South Campus writing center
will hold an instructional seminar
to aid students who have problems
correcting grammar in their writing,
Friday, Dec. 1, 2-4 p.m. at the
campus writing center.
Sentence fragments, comma
splices and overall sentence
structure will be major points of
discussion as this is where the
majority of students getinto trouble,
Robert Davis, seminar coordinator,
said.
“The seminar is geared toward
the TASP Tests and will give
students ‘hands on’ experience in
writing. It will also prepare students
to edit their own sentence structure.”
he said.
Instruction will be on a first
come first served basis.
For more information contact
the South Campus Writing Center
at 531-4523.
