I Coordinator receives honor
for surplus blood donation
came to her in November and asked if she
would donate the blood to the Shriners Hospi-
tal.
“He asked at an appropriate time because
the year for holding the blood was almost
finished,” Brazille said.
“S ince blood is not something that can be
manufactured, the donation was a great help to
them. All of the units given during the campus
blood drive are not always needed, she said.
“I’d like for everyone to know that any
student at TCJC can use the blood fund if they
need it,” she said. “We will not deny the TCJC
family the chance of receiving blood.”
For donating 25 pints of blood to the
Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, NW
Campus coordinator of health services and
SCOOP recently received an award.
Evette Brazzile was honored with a plaque
from the Moslah Temple Shrine for her dona-
tion.
The donated blood came from a surplus
generated by the last blood drive held on NW.
As sponsor of the drive, Brazille is authorized
to release units of blood, which are kept for a
year.
John Shen, who is member of the Shrin-
ers organization and one of Brazille’s students,
